Four years ago, Content Marketing Institute started up the #CMWorld Twitter chat. We’ve talked about everything from SEO to productivity to social media and beyond. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Through the years, we have seen hundreds of participants spanning multiple disciplines. And every week, we see an average of 1,000 chat tweets an hour.
We recently celebrated our 200th chat. Rather than having cake and ice cream, we took a look back at our humble beginnings and then discussed what our community would like to see in the future. The following are highlights from the chat.
There are several reasons why you should participate in a Twitter chat. They provide an opportunity to network (with people you may have never of met), learn (new ideas and skills), and share (your expertise).

The time after a Twitter chat can be dizzying. Your head is spinning after reading great insights from fellow community members. But chats can be more than a time to learn. It can be a time to act. Take those tweets and transform them into actionable steps for your brand.
