Shaheen Samavati leads VeraContent, an agency that translates and localizes publications in a way that resonates with audiences around the world.
Shaheen’s passion for impactful storytelling formed while working as a journalist for The Wall Street Journal, LatinFinance, The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer and others. After moving from the U.S. to Spain, she co-founded Madrid-based VeraContent in 2016 to meet the growing need for transmitting compelling messages across international borders. Today she oversees the company’s talented team of more than 25 in-house staff and 200 hand-picked freelancers who expertly tailor blogs, social media pages, and other content published in more than 30 international markets for a variety of global brands including Condé Nast, The New York Times, Sundance, and Popsockets. Shaheen also manages The Content Mix, a community for those looking to advance in their content careers, and shares her knowledge on the industry as a professor for IE University’s Bachelor in Communication and Digital Media.
